Vaccinations against Covid-19

An information campaign on vaccination against COVID-19 is ongoing. The registration process for the universal vaccination of Poles against COVID-19 will begin on January 15. The procedure will be simple and safe.

The first vaccinations in Poland took place on December 27. On the same day, vaccination also began in most EU countries. On December 28, the widespread distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine began. On that day, 300,000 doses arrived in Poland. The first doses (the so-called “zero” vaccination course) are intended for people most at risk of infection. These include employees of nodal hospitals, other entities performing medical activities, including sanitary and epidemiological stations. The registration process of universal vaccination of Poles against COVID-19 will start on January 15, 2021. The procedure will be simple and safe. In the next stages, the vaccinated will be:

  • stage 1: residents of social welfare homes, care and treatment facilities, nursing and care facilities and other places of stationary stay, people over 60 (in order from the oldest), uniformed services, including the Polish Army, teachers;
  • stage 2: people under the age of 60 with chronic diseases that increase the risk of severe COVID-19, or during diagnostics and treatment requiring repeated or continuous contact with health care facilities, people directly ensuring the functioning of the state’s basic activities and at risk of infection due to frequent social contacts;
  • stage 3: entrepreneurs and employees of sectors closed under the regulations on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the occurrence of an epidemic. General vaccination of the rest of the adult population will also be implemented.
