The buildings of the first phase of the new Business Garden Rīga office campus developed by Vastint Latvia have received the LEED Platinum certification. The high rating testifies to the flawless quality, sustainability and energy efficiency of the office buildings. This ensures a comfortable and health-friendly environment for tenants and allows a significant reduction of operational costs.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the most widely used building sustainability assessment system in the world, first introduced in 1993 by the U.S. Green Building Council.
“So far, all the Business Garden projects completed in other countries have been awarded LEED Platinum certification,” comments Līga Daniļeviča, Marketing Manager at Vastint Latvia. “We are particularly pleased that Business Garden Rīga is no exception, becoming the first-ever property development project in Latvia to receive Platinum — the highest LEED assessment.”
Two office buildings with more than 14,000 m2 of leasable area have been completed during the first phase of Business Garden Rīga, as well as 200 bicycle stands, 109 underground and 504 surface parking lots with CityBee and CarGuru car-sharing zones. A private child day care centre — PATNIS— is already operating in one of the buildings, and negotiations are ongoing with a day restaurant operator. The IT company VISMA — has moved into their new premises at Business Garden Rīga.
