Vastint Poland signed a contract with HOCHTIEF Polska for the construction of five office buildings. This is the second phase of the Business Garden office complex development at Żwirki i Wigury in Warsaw. The scope of works also includes the construction of technical infrastructure, roads and a park. The works are planned to be completed in the beginning of 2017.
Roger Andersson, Managing Director of Vastint Poland says, “We are starting the second and final phase of Business Garden Warszawa. The scale of the project comprising five buildings with a gross building area of approximately 102,000 m2, is a huge challenge for the general contractor. In order to meet the time schedule, the project will be carried out together with the company involved in the first phase of construction. Within the next two years, this great complex will offer a comfortable work environment for several thousands of people.”
As part of the second phase, five office buildings with auxiliary retail space representing a total leasable area of approximately 56,000 m2 will be built. Four of the buildings will have seven aboveground floors each, and two underground levels serving as garages and technical rooms. One of the buildings will have one underground floor. The buildings will be constructed using mixed technologies, i.e. the underground part will be made of a reinforced concrete structure cast in place, the so-called “white basin technology”, and the aboveground part will be made of pre-fabricated elements.
The buildings will have a modern design and technical solutions, in accordance with the guidelines of the LEED Platinum certification. The green areas surrounding the project constitute its characteristic feature. Sixty percent of the plot will be occupied by landscaped areas, including green roofs, high grasses, trees and water pools.
